About

Amelia has a visible passion for anything and everything surrounding The Arts. She becomes innately giddy when finalizing the details for a commissioned large-scale painting, or attending Miami’s prestigious Art Basel. Nothing excites and energizes her more than the thought of meshing together her love of working with people and creating a warm space through elements of Art + Design.

Although Amelia has deep Southern roots, her childhood dream to live in a city became a reality when she moved to Boston to obtain her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in affiliation with Tufts University. She continued to expand her experience of navigating a busy city by spending a summer living in Manhattan and working in a stylish, multi-designer Fashion Showroom in Chelsea. Since her move north she has grown fond of attending museum exhibit openings, experiencing more delicious restaurant options, and living in a world with a faster pace.

The Art Industry isn’t the only source of happiness in Amelia’s life. On any given night, you can find her browsing the neighborhood wine shop, relaxing in a yoga class, or discovering a new restaurant in the South End with her beau. She enjoys soaking up all that Boston has to offer. This includes its close proximity to Manhattan where she escapes often for studio visits and client meetings. Amelia also enjoys stumbling upon Boston’s hidden gems. She loves the charm of a narrow Beacon Hill street and the hospitality of a local interior design boutique.

Amelia has always had a clever, expedient way of incorporating Art + Design into her daily life and has a desire to help add beauty and a splash of color to a variety of spaces through artwork. With her Fine Arts degree and recent experience negotiating and producing Sales at Samson, a hip contemporary art gallery, she decided it was time to combine her love of Art + Design and create Colour Bloc.
