I get emails from artists daily who want to be featured on the blog or who want me to share their work with clients. Unfortunately, more often than not, the artist’s style doesn’t match up with the Colour Bloc vibe, so I was pleasantly surprised to say the least when I saw Neil’s stunning sculptural objects in my Inbox.
He manipulates old, discarded book covers through cutting and then reassembling them into colorful sculptures. I’m hooked on the vibrant colors and the idea of exploring new social, cultural and political narratives through themes of identity. It’s really beautiful the way he combines the current with the old — the style of contemporary art with used books. Check out his work!
