Spread it Out

Instead of doing a Florals to Art post this Wednesday, I thought with the arrival of the official first day of spring I’d switch it up and share some thoughtful tips on how to arrange elegant and airy branches. First of all, you want to make sure to use a substantial, taller vase (preferably with a unique shape), I usually lean towards either a metal or a white ceramic container. Next, limit your selection to three or four sculptural stems and arrange them in a spread out nature to show off the organic shape. It’s important to have the arrangement be somewhat asymmetrical. Remember it’s also ideal to have a less is more approach with layering the branches.

I’m taking a flower arranging class with Kor Floral tomorrow night at Acquire. Can’t wait to share some of the tips and tricks I learn!
