To Do

Fireplaces are always so inviting, especially this beautiful crisp white one.

To say I enjoy making lists is the biggest understatement. I have a serious looove affair with the classic le pen + beautiful notepad combo and I’m not afraid to admit it in this iCal obsessed world.

With that said, I also enjoy the fresh start that the first of the month brings and on top of that, it’s the beginning of a new (and my absolute favorite) season. Rambling aside, I’m making a to do list of activities I want to tackle by the end of autumn. Hopefully you will get inspired and create a list of your own!

This is the first fall I’ve had a fireplace in my apartment and I can’t wait to round up some firewood and create a toasty atmosphere (complete with a big chunky blanket and great book). There is something very New England about having a working fireplace in a classic Beacon Hill apartment. I would also love to toast a few marshmallows and make s’mores too (hint hint…).

I’m looking forward to checking out the movie Liberal Arts this week, which reminds me I still need to see the Diana Vreeland documentary as well. Heard great things about both. Ahhh … I also need to finish Girls before Season 2 starts this winter. So much to watch, so little time!

Dying to go apple and /or raspberry picking this month. I know there is only a few more opportunities to apple pick, but hopefully I can squeeze it into my routine these coming weeks. Also,  I’m still in the market to buy an oversized orange pumpkin to carve!

I recently read about this Spike Cider Cocktail recipe. This would be the perfect fall drink to serve at a housewarming party or to simply mix up while enjoying a rich autumn meal. I would love to entertain in my new apartment in some way this season, maybe the drink list is the place to start!

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’ve lived in Boston 5 years with out ever checking out MASS MoCA, New England’s answer to LACMA (which surprisingly I have been to?). The plan this Friday is to spend the long weekend tucked away in the Berkshires, enjoying the foliage, and visiting this large Contemporary Art mecca.

Speaking of fall, thought I’d share with you this interview with Madewell’s talented Kin Ying Lee’s take on Trends this Fall. Consider me inspired.

Hoping to cross off a few of these items sooner rather than later. I’d love to hear what’s on your fall to do list!
